Our Mission
The SouthEastern Association for Clinical Microbiology’s mission is to promote scientific knowledge of microbiology in the southeastern United States by providing educational opportunities and encouraging scientific investigation among its members. We also seek to improve and enhance recognition of the field of clinical microbiology.

Membership
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in clinical microbiology. State meetings take place in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia during the spring months. The annual meeting, held in late October/early November, is open to the entire clinical microbiology community. The location of the meeting rotates among the four member states.

Our Meetings
Meetings include presentations and workshops which are led by individuals who are recognized regionally and nationally for their expertise in clinical microbiology. SEACM also invites distributors and manufacturers of microbiology products to exhibit as part of the general session activities. Meeting attendees benefit from the opportunity to see and learn more about the latest products and technology available to clinical microbiologists.

Our Future
The present and future operations of the Association depend entirely on volunteers. If you would like to help the Association to continue its work, please contact officers of the Association at the spring or annual meetings.
